FedEx Delivery Drivers Seek Class Status

Law360 (March 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lawyers representing tens of thousands of FedEx workers want to certify two nationwide classes and 10 statewide classes in the multi-district action against the company for misclassifying delivery drivers as independent contractors.

Motions were filed in an Indiana federal court Monday for nationwide classes in Kansas and California, where drivers are seeking damages under the federal Employee Retirement Income Security and the Family and Medical Leave acts.
