Teva, Others Settle With Counties In Medicaid MDL

Law360, New York (November 11, 2010, 2:31 PM EST) -- Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc., Barr Laboratories Inc. and other drugmakers have settled claims brought by a group of New York counties in multidistrict litigation accusing the pharmaceutical companies of jacking up the average wholesale price of drugs sold through Medicaid drug benefit programs.

Judge Patty B. Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts gave the green light to the deal Wednesday, noting that each party would be responsible for its own expenses, attorneys' fees and costs.
