Google, YouTube Exit Online Ad Patent Suit

Law360, New York (November 16, 2010, 1:41 PM EST) -- Google Inc. and subsidiary YouTube LLC have exited two patent infringement suits brought by a Las Vegas company over online advertising technology.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Monday dismissed the technology companies from two related suits with prejudice at the request of plaintiff Beneficial Innovations Inc., a nonpracticing patent holder.

NBC Universal Inc., a plaintiff in only one of those suits, was also dismissed. All the parties will bear their own costs.
