11 States Join DOJ Suit Over Merchant Fees

Law360 (December 21, 2010, 5:28 PM EST) -- Eleven states on Tuesday joined the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust suit against Visa Inc., MasterCard Inc. and American Express Co. challenging the credit card companies' merchant discount fees.

The DOJ filed an amended complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York to add the states to the seven included when the suit launched in October.
