'Project Runway' Writer Can't Make IP Suit Work

Law360 (January 6, 2011, 1:55 PM EST) -- A district court judge has tossed a copyright suit by a writer who claimed the producers of the hit cable TV show "Project Runway" stole his idea for the program, after the plaintiff was unable to find new counsel.

Judge Loretta A. Preska of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York threw out the case on Wednesday, citing the parties' voluntary dismissal.
