Woman Hits Publicis Groupe With $100M Sex Bias Suit

Law360, New York (February 24, 2011, 7:10 PM EST) -- A Massachusetts woman filed a $100 million class action against Publicis Groupe SA on Thursday in New York federal court, claiming the advertising giant discriminates against women at its U.S. public relations business.

"Publicis’ glass ceiling might as well be a cement wall," named plaintiff Monique da Silva Moore claimed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Her suit says women make up 70 percent of the 45,000 employees at the conglomerate, but men dominate its senior management ranks.
