NM Joins False Claims Suit Against PVC Pipe Maker

Law360 (March 8, 2011, 6:39 PM EST) -- New Mexico on Friday became the latest state government to join a California whistleblower suit that accuses a pipe manufacturer of defrauding municipalities by selling substandard PVC pipe for their sewer systems.

The state's Attorney General Gary King filed a notice in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California saying New Mexico would intervene in a qui tam false claims suit filed by former J-M Manufacturing Co. quality assurance engineer John Hendrix.
