Law360, New York (March 18, 2011, 10:28 PM EDT) -- Over Citgo Petroleum Corp.'s objections, a New York federal judge approved Friday a $1.7 million settlement between 7-Eleven Inc. and Orange County Water District in a multidistrict litigation over groundwater contamination from gasoline additive methyl tertiary-butyl ether.
Judge Shira Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York approved the settlement after finding both parties negotiated the deal in good faith.
