Blagojevich Denies Charges, Gets Personal In Testimony

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 9:13 PM EDT) -- Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Thursday denied several allegations he faces in his corruption retrial, turning to the criminal charges near the end of lengthy testimony that included asides on his working class childhood, rocky law school years and disco era hairstyle.

The ex-governor kicked off his six hours on the stand by telling jurors that he was there to “get my story straight” regarding allegations that he attempted to trade political favors for campaign cash.
