Sales Rep Slaps Wolters Kluwer With OT Action

Law360, New York (June 24, 2011, 4:22 PM EDT) -- The U.S. unit of publishing company Wolters Kluwer NV was hit Thursday with a putative class action in Georgia alleging it incorrectly classified sales representatives and failed to pay them overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Oluwatosin Adepoju sued Georgia-based Wolters Kluwer United States Inc. on behalf of a putative class of inside sales representatives, software sales representatives and telesales outbound representatives, saying they were covered, nonexempt employees under the FLSA and were wrongly denied overtime pay.
