Citing High Court, Freddie Mac Investors Seek Cert.

Law360, New York (July 5, 2011, 5:28 PM EDT) -- Former Freddie Mac investors sought class certification Thursday in a suit in New York alleging the lender's executives lied to them ahead of an offering, looking to two recent  U.S. Supreme Court decisions to further their cause.

The suit accuses former Freddie Mac CEO Richard Syron and Chief Financial Officer Anthony Piszel of making false and misleading statements about the lender's capital position and overall strength in the run-up to a share offering.
