Property Co.'s Action Targets GSA Dispute Resolution

Law360, New York (July 8, 2011, 1:30 PM EDT) -- A Michigan property company hit the U.S. General Services Administration with a proposed class action Thursday, claiming the agency illegally subjected it and others to a dispute resolution process that did not apply to real estate contracts.

1200 Sixth Street LLC's lawsuit, filed in Michigan federal court, claimed the company was compelled to resolve a fight with the GSA over a $9 million property deal in Detroit with a hearing officer who lacked jurisdiction under the Contract Dispute Act of 1978.
