Law360, Los Angeles (August 1, 2011, 8:18 PM EDT) -- Food supplier N’Genuity Enterprises Co. sued Chick-fil-A Inc. on Friday in Illinois, claiming an ad campaign by the chicken chain featuring sports star Bo Jackson infringed N’Genuity’s registered trademarks in the star’s name and killed a nationwide distribution deal worth millions.
Friday’s suit alleges that what appeared to be a humorous ad campaign by the fast food chain was in fact a breach of trust by Jackson and Chick-fil-A that struck at the very heart of N’Genuity’s business.
