Sports Auction CEO Accused Of Selling Fake Jerseys

Law360, New York (August 5, 2011, 4:11 PM EDT) -- New York prosecutors on Thursday charged the CEO of a sports memorabilia auction house with allegedly selling phony jerseys of major leaguers like Alex Rodriguez, Albert Pujols and Mark McGwire to scam unsuspecting collectors.

Steven Jensen, the co-CEO of Vintage Sports Authentics LLC, committed mail and wire fraud by selling fake jerseys purportedly worn by Major League Baseball players, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
