Sirius XM Subscribers Tout $180M Deal In Antitrust Action

Law360, New York (August 8, 2011, 4:47 PM EDT) -- Sirius XM Radio Inc. subscribers argued Monday that a New York federal judge should sign off — despite objections — on a $180 million settlement in an antitrust class action stemming from the merger that created the company, and award plaintiffs’ attorneys up to $13 million.

U.S. District Judge Harold Baer heard arguments from the class and from several objectors, who oppose the deal because they say that the nonmonetary settlement is inadequate and that class counsel shouldn't get such a big chunk of change....
