Golden Globes Broadcast Fight Heads To Trial

Law360, New York (August 9, 2011, 7:09 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday said the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s suit against Dick Clark Productions Inc. over broadcasting rights to the star-studded Golden Globes award show would head to trial at the end of the month. 

U.S. District Judge Valerie Baker Fairbank denied a majority of both parties’ motions for summary judgment, saying there were genuine disputes of material fact over the award show’s licensing rights agreement.
