World Trade Center Insurer Sanctioned

Law360, New York (June 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Zurich American Insurance Co. and its legal counsel were sanctioned on Monday for their conduct in a legal battle over its insurance coverage of the World Trade Center.

“Zurich, as the lead insurer on the case, and its attorneys, as lead counsel in the proceedings before me, owed the court and the public better conduct,” said Judge Alvin Hellerstein of the Southern District of New York.
