Luxe Condos Exaggerated Perks, Favored Celebs: Suit

Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 2:42 PM EDT) -- A condo owner at W Hollywood Residences sued the W brand owner and the building's developer Friday, alleging false advertising for failing to deliver on promised luxury amenities and claiming celebrity residents are treated better than noncelebrities.

The suit, filed in Los Angeles court, claims Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc., owner of the W brand, and HEI/GC Hollywood and Vine Condominiums LLC, the condo developer that licensed the brand, mislead him about the building's 24-hour concierge service.
