21 Club Wait Staff Reach $2M Deal In FLSA Fight

Law360, New York (September 29, 2011, 7:32 PM EDT) -- A judge gave preliminary approval Tuesday to a $2 million settlement between the 21 Club and a class of its wait staff, who alleged the upscale New York restaurant withheld gratuities and failed to provide proper overtime compensation.

U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Griesa's decision brings the Fair Labor Standards Act suit close to a resolution after more than two years of litigation in New York federal court.
