Blagojevich Lobbyist Agreed To Extortion Plot: Ex-Trustee

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 8:05 PM EDT) -- An ex-pension fund trustee told a federal jury Thursday that longtime lobbyist William Cellini agreed to pass an extortion message to a Hollywood film producer aimed at shaking him down for a campaign contribution to former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Stuart Levine, a former board member for the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois, was testifying for the second day as a government witness in the case pegging Cellini with conspiracy, bribery and attempted extortion charges.
