Rock Group Confronts MLB Network Over Song Royalties

Law360, New York (October 21, 2011, 6:01 PM EDT) -- The record label of rock group The American Dollar sued The MLB Network LLC on Thursday, accusing the cable baseball channel of using the band's copyrighted songs on its telecasts without paying for the rights.

Yesh Music Inc. says in its suit, filed in New York federal court, that since the 2010 baseball season MLBN has been including American Dollar tracks in its programming lineup, but that it has failed to remit the appropriate royalty payments either to Yesh or to American Dollar band members....
