GameStop Wants Text Ad Suit Moved To Texas

Law360, New York (October 26, 2011, 8:13 PM EDT) -- GameStop Corp. moved Tuesday to transfer a proposed consumer class action from California to Texas, arguing allegations that the company sent unsolicited text message advertisements to customers' cellphones would be more appropriately litigated there because of the parties' locations.

GameStop and fellow defendant and subsidiary GameStop Inc. are based in Texas, according to a memorandum supporting the motion to transfer venue.
