Judge Bounces Suit Alleging Cuban Mismanaged Mavs

Law360, New York (November 3, 2011, 5:31 PM EDT) -- A Texas state judge on Thursday threw out a lawsuit alleging Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban broke a partnership agreement by bungling the team’s finances, ending a case that lost its swagger after the Mavericks won the NBA championship in June.

In a one-page order, Dallas County District Court Judge Craig Smith granted a bid by Cuban’s management company, Radical Mavericks Management LLC, to dismiss claims by minority owner Ross Perot Jr. that years of mismanagement had driven the team to the brink of insolvency....
