Shamrock Fund Deals For Radio Programmer Learfield

Law360, New York (December 5, 2011, 5:50 PM EST) -- A fund controlled by private equity firm Shamrock Capital Advisors has purchased a controlling stake in Learfield Communications Inc., the Missouri-based collegiate sports rights management and radio programming company, for an undisclosed sum, Learfield said Monday.

The Shamrock Capital Growth Fund III investment will leave Learfield founder Clyde Lear with a minority stake but CEO Greg Brown will stay on to run the business as it plans an expansion, according to the statement.
