Scottie Pippen Sues Comcast, GE Over Bankruptcy Reports

Law360, New York (December 14, 2011, 4:09 PM EST) -- Former NBA star Scottie Pippen on Tuesday sued Comcast Corp. and General Electric Co., among many others, in Illinois federal court over numerous reports stating he had gone bankrupt, which he claims are false and defamatory.

Pippen has appeared on nearly a dozen stories and lists in the past year about well-known professional athletes who have gone bankrupt, many of which alluded to a failed investment in a corporate jet, according to the complaint.
