Ex-Players' Suit Says NFL Ignored Head Injury Risks

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 10:07 PM EST) -- Three retired football players lodged a putative class action against the National Football League in New York federal court Tuesday, claiming the league failed to disclose the risks of repeated on-field head and brain injuries and take appropriate steps to prevent and mitigate them.

The suit, which proposes a class of all former NFL players, is the latest in a string of cases former players have filed against the league over traumatic brain injuries suffered on the football field.
