DOD Contracting Official Cops To Afghanistan Bribes

By Dietrich Knauth (December 21, 2011, 7:27 PM EST) -- A U.S. Department of Defense official pled guilty Wednesday in Georgia federal court to taking nearly $100,000 in cash bribes in exchange for the award of repair and maintenance contracts in Afghanistan.

Desi Deandre Wade, 40, of Climax, Ga., pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Willis B. Hunt Jr., admitting that he had taken two bribes totaling $99,0000.
