Sirius Dinged With Robocall Class Action

Law360, New York (February 17, 2012, 3:59 PM EST) -- A California man lodged a putative class action against Sirius XM Radio Inc. on Wednesday, accusing the satellite radio provider of invading his privacy and violating federal law by making unsolicited marketing calls to his cellphone.

Erik Knutson said he never gave Sirius his phone number, but still received three calls on behalf of Sirius from a prerecorded or artificial voice through an automatic telephone dialing system, commonly called robocalls, which violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, according to the complaint in California federal court....
