Ex-DOD Official Gets 2 Years In Afghanistan Bribery Case

Law360, Los Angeles (March 28, 2012, 4:23 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Department of Defense official who pled guilty to taking nearly $100,000 in bribes from an Afghanistan contractor was sentenced Wednesday in Georgia federal court to 20 months in prison.

Desi Deandre Wade, 40, of Climax, Ga., was also ordered by U.S. District Judge Willis B. Hunt to pay a $4,000 fine and will be placed under three years supervised release after serving his prison term, according to a statement from the United States Department of Justice.
