Oracle, Google Headed To Trial In Android-Java Feud

Law360, New York (April 2, 2012, 7:11 PM EDT) -- Oracle America Inc. and Google Inc. have failed to reach a settlement in their long-running patent and copyright fight over the Android operating system, setting the stage for a trial in just two weeks, a federal judge said Monday.

Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said that despite diligent efforts on both sides of the dispute, Google and Oracle have reached an irreconcilable impasse in their settlement discussions.
