Reebok Can't Sell Tebow Jerseys Amid Licensing Row

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 4:18 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday barred Reebok International Ltd. from selling New York Jets jerseys that feature the name of star quarterback Tim Tebow, a win for incoming NFL jersey supplier Nike Inc., which argues that Reebok's license has run out.

U.S. District Judge Kevin P. Castel ruled that Reebok had likely breached a licensing deal with NFL Players Inc., which handles players' group licensing deals, when it added Tebow's name to blank Jets jerseys after the contract's Feb. 28 expiration.
