Firm To Pay $35M To Ease Traffic Woes Near LA Stadium

Law360, New York (April 5, 2012, 8:34 PM EDT) -- Anschutz Entertainment Group plans to spend $35 million to mitigate the “significant unavoidable impacts” that its proposed $1.4 billion football stadium and convention center is expected to have on downtown Los Angeles' traffic patterns, according to an environmental impact report released Thursday.

AEG also pledged to add a northbound lane to the 101 Freeway between its four-level on/off ramp and Alvarado Street in order to stem the congestion from the 72,000-seat stadium, which is expected to bring about 19,600 cars to the area on game days,...
