Biotech Co. Wants Class Action Tried On Home Turf

Law360 (August 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Biotechnology company Threshold Pharmaceuticals made a bid on Thursday to get a proposed securities class action filed against the company last month transferred to the Northern District of California.

The Redwood City, Calif.-based biotechnology firm filed a motion asking the court to move the case, which is currently filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, since Threshold's only office is in California, about 30 miles south of San Francisco, and all employees of the company work there.
