Con Ed Says Port Authority Owes Damages For WTC

Law360 (August 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Consolidated Energy Co. of New York Inc. and its insurers have asked for more time to add claims for indemnity to their complaint over property damage at 7 World Trade Center after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

Con Ed and the insurance companies backing it, including Aegis Insurance Services Inc., have claimed that a lease agreement for space at 7 World Trade Center requires the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to pay for the damages regardless of whether it is liable.
