Sales Reps Dismiss Novartis Class Action

Law360 (August 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A class of over 500 sales representatives has dismissed a wage-and-hour lawsuit brought against three units of Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp. with prejudice, but are continuing to go after the primary corporation.

The leading drug maker's units, Novartis Corp., Novartis Finance Corp. and Novartis Services Inc., and its employees filed a consent order on Tuesday, tossing them from the long-running suit, in which the sales representatives claimed that their employer failed to pay them for overtime or allow them to take rest and meal breaks.
