USAA Fights Bid To Add State Claims To FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (August 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Accused of denying its special investigators overtime pay, the United States Automobile Association has opposed plaintiffs' bid to amend their Fair Labor Standards Act collective action to include California state law claims, arguing that introducing those claims would “engender confusion.”

On Wednesday, the USAA filed its objection to the plaintiffs' motion seeking leave to amend their complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
