MLB, Glenn Beck Broadcaster Sued Over Online Video IP

Law360, New York (May 29, 2012, 12:46 PM EDT) -- Major League Baseball's online broadcaster and political pundit Glenn Beck's production company were sued Friday in Texas federal court by a patent-holding company that alleges they used protected technology to provide media content over wireless networks.

Albuquerque, N.M.-based Front Row Technologies alleged that MLB Advanced Media LP, which runs MLB.com, and Mercury Radio Arts Inc. infringed U.S. Patent Number 8,090,321. The patent covers a method and system for transmitting live video and audio to wireless devices, according to the suit.
