Ex-NFL Players' Brain Injury Suits Combined In Pa.

Law360, New York (June 7, 2012, 7:11 PM EDT) -- Thousands of former National Football League players on Thursday consolidated their claims in Pennsylvania federal court that the league hid information that football-related head trauma was linked to long-term brain injuries.

In an administrative master complaint that combines into a multidistrict litigation more than 80 suits, more than 2,000 NFL veterans say the league deliberately and fraudulently ignored the risks of neurological damage caused by repeated blows to the head that the players suffered, according to a statement released by the players' lawyers.
