Apple, Motorola Duel Over Injunctions In Phone Patent Suit

Law360, Chicago (June 20, 2012, 8:42 PM EDT) -- A federal judge grilled attorneys for Apple Inc. and Motorola on Wednesday at a hearing over the smartphone makers' competing bids for injunctions, telling Apple a ban on Motorola's phones could be "catastrophic" and that an order protecting Motorola's standard essential patent also seemed problematic.

U.S. Circuit Judge Richard Posner's skepticism of Apple's injunction motion was met with protests by an attorney for the computer giant, however, who said Apple isn't looking to block all Motorola smartphone sales in its suit alleging several of those phones...
