Proposed $2B NJ American Dream Project Clears Key Hurdle

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 6:28 PM EDT) -- New Jersey's Meadowlands Commission on Wednesday approved an environmental impact report for the proposed $2 billion American Dream Meadowlands retail and entertainment complex despite requests from several mayors to table the vote until a new traffic study could be conducted.

The environmental study, known as the Hearing Officers' Report, specifically assessed the potential impact of the indoor water and amusement park proposed for the site, which are additions made since mall developer Triple Five Group of Cos. took on the stalled project two years ago....
