Ga. Judge Says Travel Websites Can't Be Taxed As Innkeepers

Law360, New York (July 10, 2012, 4:00 PM EDT) -- A Georgia federal judge on Monday directed a group of online travel companies including Expedia Inc. to remit taxes to 259 cities based on the retail price of rooms booked since May 16, 2011, dismissing all other claims in a class action alleging local tax evasion.
