FedEx Drivers Protest Plan To End Contractor Model

Law360 (October 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A purported class of FedEx Ground Package System Inc. drivers has asked an Indiana district court to block the delivery company's plan to end its contractor employee model in California, claiming the move is being done in retaliation for the suit.

The class action plaintiffs filed a motion in their multidistrict litigation case on Monday for a restraining order and preliminary injunction that would prevent FedEx from implementing its program, which would include the California drivers' release of claims from the suit over alleged driver misclassification...
