Maverick Steel's Pa. Stadium Fight Sent Back To County Court

Law360, Philadelphia (August 22, 2012, 8:38 PM EDT) -- A Maverick Steel Co. suit against the developer of Pittsburgh’s PNC Stadium was kicked back to county court Tuesday after the Pennsylvania Superior Court said a judge there improperly ruled that Maverick’s tortious interference claim was barred by a one-year statute of limitations.

The court remanded the case back to county court for further proceedings without commenting on the merits of Maverick’s claims that Dick Corporation/Barton Malow intimidated Maverick’s surety company into paying millions of dollars toward the stadium project after Maverick experienced unforeseen supply delays,...
