Judge Tosses Class Action Against Bausch & Lomb

Law360 (October 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed a proposed class action brought against Bausch & Lomb Inc. over its contact lens solution, saying the complaint failed to reach the pleading standards established in the U.S. Supreme Court's Twombly ruling.

On Thursday, Judge David C. Norton of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina tossed the claims made by the plaintiffs in a multidistrict litigation alleging the consumers suffered economic loss because of the defects in ReNu with MoistureLoc, a contact lens solution.
