Dow Jones, Shareholders Reach Settlement

Law360 (October 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Bancroft family and several directors of Dow Jones & Co. have settled a putative shareholder class action accusing the publisher of committing "a gross abuse of trust" in its $5 billion sale to Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company announced Wednesday that it had reached a settlement in principle with the plaintiffs and that it had already accounted for $895,000 in attorneys' fees and expenses, to be paid to the plaintiffs pending court approval....
