Judge Extends Oversight Of Microsoft For 3 Months

Law360, New York (October 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has extended the court’s oversight of Microsoft Corp. until late January as she reviews motions for the court to continue to keep an eye on the software giant for another five years.

Most of the terms of a 2002 consent decree that Microsoft entered into with federal and state antitrust regulators were set to expire in November after five years of Microsoft’s business operations being surveyed by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
