Ex-KBR Worker Admits To Taking Afghan Trucking Co. Bribes

Law360, Wilmington (October 24, 2012, 9:05 PM EDT) -- A former KBR Inc. employee on Wednesday pled guilty in Washington federal court to accepting nearly $50,000 in bribes to bill the U.S. Army for bogus trucking services in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Diyana Montes, 29, pled guilty to one count of bribery before U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg, the DOJ said in a statement.

She faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to court documents, but was released on her own recognizance pending...
