Pa. Gaming Board To Weigh 6 Proposals For Philly Casino

Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 7:18 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania will consider six plans to build a second casino in Philadelphia, with proposals ranging from a $700 million luxury resort in the heart of the city to a $425 million privately financed design that would bring gambling to South Philly, the commonwealth said Friday.

Applications for Pennsylvania's sole unassigned Category 2 Slot Machine Operator License — which covers up to 5,000 slot machines and 250 tables games — were due to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board last week.
