Steelers Stadium Operator Says It's Not On Hook For Expansion

Law360, Philadelphia (November 19, 2012, 7:04 PM EST) -- The Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh & Allegheny County reportedly told a state court judge Monday that it was not obligated to pay two-thirds of the cost of a proposed expansion at Heinz Field, the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers had sued the SEA in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in October, alleging that the authority failed to honor its lease. The parties are at odds over an expansion that would add 3,000 seats to the 65,000-seat stadium. The project is...
