Airlines Denied Win In Lessee's Suit Over 9/11 Destruction

Law360, Chicago (December 4, 2012, 3:23 PM EST) -- American Airlines Inc. and other air carriers lost their summary judgment bid Monday in the 7 World Trade Center lessee's suit over the 9/11 attacks, with a federal judge saying the issue of whether the lessee's $831 million insurance recovery offsets the tort recoveries it seeks requires a trial.
